Corporate financing and private equity funds

The favorable credit conditions, especially the interest rates which are at historical minimum level and the comeback of the mergers & acquisitions market, have renewed the interest for leveraged loans. These financial structures are typically used by private equity firms, but they may be of interest also for the strategic (non-financial) investors who are interested to expand through acquisitions of companies and to finance such acquisitions also with external debt. Besides the financial analysis of the involved undertakings, this type of transactions require compliance with several legal requirements and restrictions (such as financial assistance) as well as the analysis of the fiscal issues, which often represent the key elements for deciding a certain financing structure.
