Promise to sell an agricultural land located outside a built-up area

Law no. 17/2014 represents a double challenge for the mechanism of promises of sale. In an apparently contradictory manner, by enforcing this law, the promises of sale shall become more difficult to enforce, however their usefulness shall increase. In the context, this study approaches also other current legal issues,such as the applicability of the provisions of the new law to serve the goals of legislative policy under which they were justified, the direct forced execution of the real estate sale promises which were not concluded as authentic instruments and the rules of settlement of the conflict of laws in time in the matter of the promissory agreements.
